The European Information Policy and Strategy Framework affects every academic library leader. In this workshop a group of international organisations (The European University Association (EUA), IFLA, EBLIDA, LIBER and SPARC Europe) tells you how.
At this workshop, we hope to engage library and open science leaders in a discussion about Europe’s information policy framework, the impact it has on libraries, and empower them to get involved and committed to striving for a better information policy framework that supports open access to research.
By attending this workshop you can expect to:
- Learn more about the critical policy issues related to open access to research, open platforms and repositories
- Hear the latest on recent developments with Plan S, the Digital Single Market copyright reform Directive, Public Sector Information Directive and Horizon Europe and their impact on providing access to research
- Discuss directly with each other and your international associations how to engage our professions at senior levels in information policy and law-making.
- Help set the governmental affairs policy agenda for European library associations going forward.
